Dragonslayers will be hosting another one of our popular 24 hour games events in just over two weeks. Here's what you need to know:

• When? 12 Noon Saturday 8th December - 12 Noon Sunday 9th December
• Where? QUB Students' Union, Second Floor, Snack Bar (Now with heat)
• What's Happening? Console Gaming, PC LAN, Tabletop Games - competitions, tournaments & prizes!
• How much? £5 General Admission, £10 with a PC
• Anything else? There will be a tuck shop selling essential supplies, such as hot drinks and sweets.

Slayers24 will include a Bring & Buy Sale!
This all-nighter will be special, as between the hours of 12pm and 8pm on the Saturday, Dragonslayers will be hosting a Bring & Buy Sale. If you have anything you are looking to get rid of, such as old games, DVDs or books then bring it along and try to flog it! All proceeds go to the people who bring the stuff. :)

It should be noted that the QUB Science Fiction & Fantasy Society will be selling off their extensive library of over 600 books, DVDs, videos and games. The Dragonslayers will also be selling what remains of our library. So there will be a treasure horde of stuff to buy!

Extraordinary General Meeting - Tuesday 11th December 2007
There will an EGM of the Dragonslayers Society membership on Tuesday 11th December at 9pm in the Snack Bar, QUB Students' Union.

Agenda - Election to the position of Society President to replace the lovely Miss Tina Lauro who has had to step down.

Also were happy to announce that after a long absence and a trial weekend, Saturday Slayers has returned bringing with it the opportunity to play those games that just cant be managed in a few hours or just a place to enjoy your day off work, read on for more info.

Hey everybody. I'd firstly like to welcome all the new students joining us this year at Queens. To all those new to the student experience I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have, and to those new to Belfast and Northern Ireland in general I hope the “Norn-Iron” culture shock wasn’t too much.

With all the lectures you will hopefully be attending and all the studying you will of course be doing student life can be stressful, and everyone needs a place to unwind and have fun as well as to meet new people - that is where Dragonslayers comes in!

Dragonslayer's Event for the month of July:
We are heading out to go see this summer's anticipated movie, "Transformers". Packed with robot action and awe-inspiring special effects, I would say that this is a movie on the big screen that will be a real cinematic experience - one not to be missed!

• Venue: Dublin Road Moviehouse Cinema
• Price: £3.75 - (That's the Student rate, so remember your student card to get the discount!)
• Date: Friday 27th July
• Time: Possibly 8.40pm (I will know the times tomorrow for definate :) )
• Length of Film: 140 minutes

Personally I recommend that you get your ticket much much earlier before the film begins just to guarantee that you actually get to see it! :D

I will be going around Dragonslayers tomorrow (Tuesday the 24th of July) to confirm names and if this suits everyone who was on the original list of names.
