Saturday 30 July 2005, 4:00pm - 11:00pm

WHO

The event is open to all Dragonslayers Members. As with the Previous events, partners are acceptable as long as you let us know they are comming, but they must be over 16 years of age... and they have to bring stuff too :).

HOW MUCH

FREE... Yes, thats right. Just make sure to bring supplies as described below. Registration is not strictly required, but if you are definatly coming then you should post your name, any (+1)s you want to bring and what supplies you are going to bring. This makes sure that we dont end up with 200 bread rolls and no sausages.

WHERE

The location has not been decided for the BBQ (ooooOOOO... a mystery trip), it will be somewhere like Crawfordsburn or Lady Dixon Park. We might get a bus if there is enough interest, otherwise it will be public transport.

WHEN

We will be meeting at a central location, probably in one of Belfasts Train stations, at 4pm on Saturday 30st July. We will expect to get back to that same location by about 11pm at the latest, but if there is a suggestion for an after event drink / trip then that can be flexible.

WHAT TO BRING

Dragonslayers will provide all utensils, disposable BBQs and condiments. Everyone comming should bring food or drinks. A rough guide would be to bring something like:

  • 2x2 Litres of Coke and 8 Burgers

  • or
  • 8 Burger Baps and 8 Chicken Legs

  • or
  • 8 Kebabs and 8 Finger Rolls

  • or
  • A Large Bowl of Coleslaw and 8 Chocolate filled Banannas

Make sure that all of the food is fresh, correctly wrapped and in date, i.e. dont buy 8 burgers three weeks before the event then hope they will be alright as you bring them to the event in your pocket. Also try to avoid low quality meat items, we dont want anyone with food poisoning.

Vegetarians and vegans should bring their own meat substitutes / veggie barbeque items. If you let me know, I will make sure to have a separate disposable BBQ for your meat free stuff.

Anyone with "Odd" tastes should probably make sure to bring food to accomodate their own tastes... i.e. i cant see anyone bringking "Liver and Bacon" mice mash. Primarily cause it tastes like offel.

ALCOHOL

Anyone wanting to bring anything to drink shoudl feel free to do so, but bear in mind that discretion should be observed and inappropriate drunkeness will not be looked upon favourably.

Usual rules apply in regard to under 18s and supply. I.e. No and No.

AFTERMATH

We will prabably play a few games or something. Maybe a waterfight if the weather is good. Options are open.

Upon return to civilisation, it is likely that some of us will head out somewhere. There are no formal arrangements though.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

As always, health and safety is everybodies responsibility. We will do everything reasonably practicable to ensure that the event is safe for all, but we can't be held accountable for accidents or incidents arising out of people acting innapropriately (i.e. Horseplay). This is an open event, i.e. all are free to come and go as they see fit, no supervision or accountability is in any way guarenteed or implied. It is reasonably assumed that under 18s will have parental approval to attend, and that their parents are aware of the circumstances of the event.
